In the garage

Had oil change, oil filter changed, air filter changed and petrol filter changed for the car. In the garage the car was checked today.

Roofing delayed?

The no.1 roof contractor whom we met in March and has the best offer, informed us that he is busy till the end of this year. He could do our roof only in December or early next spring, probably March 2011.
This is because he just got a major job, and he has to complete that one first.

Yesterday

Paid the full insurance for the car for 6 months and made a new contract for another year.
Contacted the 1st roof contracter Mr. Albert and hopefully next week we shall have a written quotation as a document towards the charity.

Got a new contractor out in Mina, checking the roof. He is based in Vulcan and he came with one of his employees. Been in the flat, in the balcony and in the attic, took all the measurements and got the quotation, we have been expecting.
So we have now the second quotation for the roof. I can say that is quite high.

This evening

I will go out to Mina 1 Mai to meet there a roof contractor from Vulcan. He will inspect the building and hopefully we shall have a second quotation from him. I will get back to you later with more details.

Results of today's visit

I went to Mina again in this lovely spring day, weather is very warm now. I saw that all the employees were working hard in cleaning around, so it was obvious that something will happen soon. I talked to the head nurse and she said that they are expecting Dr. Grigoriu on a visit. I spent there over an hour but the director did not arrived while I was there. Probably just later, or much later.

A few important things:
1. I have delivered there all the medical stuff that I bought for the dentist according to her list and left it in the dental surgery.
2. The head nurse said that she wanted to contact the contracter for the roof but that contracter has gone to Germany and he works there now. So that means that she will not give us a quotation from that person.
3. The carpenter was not there. He is in holiday and for quite a long while, till mid June. I could not made an inventory of our tools but I was told the following: The carpenter has now his yearly holiday and in July when the team is here he will be there and available. Also the carpenter now is only 59 years old (even he might look older) so he still has a few years left until he will retire - the head nurse told me.
4. The toilets from the downstairs have now floor tiles, and the former sewing room has finally turned into patients wards from 1st of May. Downstairs now there are 4+2+7 a total of 13 patients, but all of them better condition including Simon, Costica, John and others. John has actually painted 3 stars at the entry meaning that the accommodation there is 3 star one, unlike the other hospital wards. See some of the photos.

1st of May in Natura Park

The new Natura Park just opened it's gates on the 1st of May. About 16 km-s north from Brasov in a village of Covasna county, you can find a lot of entertainment for kids and adults. The major attractions were the prehistorical houses and the indian tents. These places will be later available for accommodation.
Would the charity be interested in such accommodation? It's rather fun here and you can spend good time outdoors. See the photos from below.
