Meeting with Dr. Grigoriu and the contractor

Today I have spent quite a bit of time in Mina, checked our work, and also discussed with the contractor, with the head nurse, than with Dr. Grigoriu. Also discussed with a representative of a PVC and Aluminium door and windows company, who offered to make windows and doors. We have checked 3 different offers and finally we have together chosen this one as seems good price and also trustworthy people. Tomorrow I will go to their head office and hopefully get the pro forma receipt, which I will send later to brother Edwards from Bucharest.
Dr. Grigoriu was amazed how fast this company works, but also reminded the hopsital's workers that today is a year since they started to do the new sewing room and that is not finished yet.
It's true in the past 3 days they worked more than in the last 3 weeks, but they should...
I can tell you that the work is going on, hopefuly sewing room will be ready by the end of August, and the new building for OT will be completed by 20 September.

Amadea

Yesterday, playing in the park, she has fallen and fractured her leg. It will be plastered for 4 weeks.

Mina 1 Mai, the work has started today

I have given today more money to the hospital to continue the building project. I informed them about the team's visit and accommodation. Checked all the work.
I can tell you that the work for the new building has just started today. The contractor is a small construction company from Vulcan village, so is not the original team, whom we met. They have started the work today, digging for the foundation, see below photos. They have signed and agreement with the hospital that within 45 days they will complete the work.

The failure of an international survey

An international survey has totally failed as the respondents could not answer to this simple question: "In your honest opinion, please tell us, what could be the solution for the food shortage problem in the rest of the world?" Why did it failed? Because:
1. People from Africa does not know the meaning of the word "food".
2. People from Eastern Europe does not know what "honest" means.
3. People from the Western Europe does not know what "shortage" means.
4. In China, people does not know what "opinion" means.
5. People from the Near East do not know what "solution" means.
6. People from South America do not understand the word "please".
7. People from the USA do not know what "rest of the world" means.

Mid July in Vulcan

Below are the photos taken during my visit today at the hospital. Met the dentist there at work, and than met the head nurse too. Apparently they were expecting the visit of the Director for later on today, and in this visit they will discuss about the new building. I was informed that this sewing building will be finished end of July - beginning of August. During August they want to build the new building there. Probably end of August - beginning of September the patients will be moved to downstairs and the sewing room will move to the new location. I told them that this job could have been done within a month by NNRT, and soon they will work there for ...a year! Anyway, I decided to leave them in peace as the truth is for us is better in August to have the sewing ladies downstairs of the flat. They said that first the weather was not good, than some workers were in holiday, and than some workers were temporarily used in Brasov instead of Vulcan, one worker has health problems, so these were the reasons that the work was going so slowly. Obviously they need more money to the job. They were asking me today for the main door and the 2 windows shall they buy double glazed ones? Or the carpenter should make from wood? I said that wood it would do fine. Than they were asking for wood ... She gave me more receipts today, which is fine, and she will have to give some more.
