Summer tyres back

Today the winter tyres from the car were removed and put the summer tyres back. Had to stay at a long queue, as many people did it.

Visit of survey team

The survey team: Peter Tolson, John Roche and Paul Smith arrived on Sunday, 21 March. It was a very hot afternoon, plane delayed 50 minutes, but landed safely. Late night we arrived to Mina 1 Mai.
In the following days we had inspected the hospital and around, seen the new building, had a meeting with the head nurse, another meeting with the manager, Dr. Grigoriu, sourced materials in Baumax and in the new Dedeman shop. Visited roofing companies in Tarlungeni, and also the nice new "Pearl of Ciucas" complex. Met the surgery doctor, repaired tap at the surgery, installed plaque on the door, met Garofita from the kindergarten, checked the school walls, also met school teachers, the dentist, been at the car garage and had a meeting of a roofing engineer named Balint Albert who came over and inspected the roof which has to be replaced.
We bought food for the hospital again - a lot of milk this time and also has been purchased some floor tiles and adhesives for the toilet area. The visit was good. Sorry for I had a cold and it looks like other people may have got it. Photos will follow.

Petrol. Very expensive

For the very first time 1 l or petrol is now 5 Lei (£1.13) or even over 5.05 Lei. People will probably use less the cars. Or, who knows?

According to the forecast

the weather will improve from this week end, and we shall have warmer weather, like in spring.

Visit in the village

First, as you turn towards Vulcan from Codlea, you will discover that ... there is no paint factory anymore. The old Colorom was demolished.

Now, this is no joke, but it's for real. The traffic sign from above actually exists now in Romania, however you can not find it in any book. It says: Beware, mind the drunk people!

Still winter

The photo was taken yesterday afternoon. Winter just does not want to leave yet. We all hope for the warmer spring, but that may come by the end of March, perhaps?

Asked the head nurse

today, to think about what kind of jobs can be done by the NNRT in the summer, and to inform the survey team in March about their priorities.
The survey team will start on 21 March.
She said that she has important needs like the washing line and roof, the roof repairing on the buildings and the exterior of the buildings.

The car's sub-frame changed!

Last time in the garage, when the car's rear left side was repaired -  it was discovered that we have serious problems with the car's frontal left sub-frame: basically it's all rust and rothen, and if we leave it as it is, than it is extremely dangerous. Last week end I brought the car into the garage again and the sub frame was replaced. Also the car was checked from beneeth and at the moment we do not have any similar problems, so it is safe for driving. I will post some photos to see how it was the old subframe, see it for yourself:
