Unbelievable! A bridge between ...

I have seen many mistakes in the building field also constructions which were not properly made, but this is unbelievable. Is is called the mistake of the century. The bridge between Tunari and Pipera near Bucharest, has been wrongly designed, wrongly approved and of course wrongly built. The height is 8 M but the pillar of the electrical railway wiring is also at 8 M, so actually the bridge meets the pillar. This is possible only in Romania. Check out these photos to convince yourself.

The new building

Dr. Grigoriu asked me to send him the original drawings of the new building. And I just did that. The dutch charity have sent the money to the hospital for the new project, the head nurse confirmed this today. It looks like in a few days they will receive the approval from the local mayor so, in a few days time they will begin building the new building. The Dutch people they want the building to be made from wood and not breeze blocks as originally was said. They said that wood is cheaper.
So I can inform you that the new building will start very soon.
In the meantime the new sewing room is progressing every day.

Talking to the manager

Having a talk to the manager today, Dr. Grigoriu told me clearly that everything we discussed in March is standing, nothing changed from their point of view.

Work goes on

The photos were taken today, 12 May 2009. The work goes on, at this new sewing building.
They were plastering inside.
Some of the purchased building materials.

And some building blocks for the outside, for building the new corridor and toilet area.

The foundation is ready, now we have to build it up.

There are new houses in the village as well. Some are quite nice. The one like this:

Had a long conversation with the head nurse. They have big plans, all depends on finances. The other new building will start soon. I will have to discuss with the manager, for I need things to be confirmed by him.
